In 2011 IICS began conducting MAP testing for grades 3-10 in math, reading, and writing. MAP testing helps provide an external system of measurement for how our school is doing. In the MAP testing we have completed to date, in comparing our school to world norms, our school is meeting world norms, or is significantly higher than world norms, and in the case of mathematics in grades 8, 9, and 10, we are very significantly above world norms.
The data received from the testing provides a broad data source which helps drive decisions about curriculum planning. Cumulative data over a three year span will help us see how we are moving forward as a school and will help IICS benchmark both organizational and individual student growth.
